Music Therapy

What is Music Therapy

Music therapy is a registered clinical intervention delivered by a qualified music therapist. It uses music to support emotional, social, cognitive, and communicative needs, helping children, young people, and adults express themselves, process emotions, and develop confidence in a safe, and supportive environment.

Who can benefit from Music Therapy

Music therapy can support children, young people, and adults experiencing a range of needs, including:
  • Neurodivergence (autism, ADHD, and other neuro-developmental conditions)
  • Communication or social interaction difficulties
  • Emotional regulation, anxiety, low mood, or trauma
  • Learning differences or physical disabilities
  • Acquired brain injuries or neurological conditions
  • Older adults living with dementia
Sessions can benefit both emotional well-being and skill development, while providing a creative, non-verbal outlet for expression.

What happens in a Session

Each session is designed around the client’s needs and interests. Activities may include:
  • Improvisation and vocal or instrumental play
  • Songwriting, singing, and music-making
  • Art, movement, or imaginative play alongside music
  • Listening, reflecting, and exploring emotions through sound
Sessions are typically 50 minutes, providing enough time for exploration, connection, and personal growth.

Location & Frequency

I offer sessions both at my home studio in E17, and at clients’ homes across London. I apply a £6 travel fee. Sessions are arranged to suit clients' schedule and can be held weekly, fortnightly, or at a frequency that works best for the client.

Fees

In order to make sessons accessible to everyone, I offer a sliding scale.

Please choose the rate within the scale that feels manageable for you:
  1. £55 - 65: For those on lower or unstable income
  2. £65 - 75: Standard rate for those with a stable income who want some flexibility
  3. £75 - 85: Supporter rate for those who can afford it and are happy to contribute to lower-cost places
If you're unsure where you might fall on the scale, we can discuss it together.

Travel: £6 per home visit
