Hello
I am a music therapist, vocal coach and freelance musician working mainly with children and young people in schools and community settings. I have more than ten years of experience coaching groups and individuals in music schools, theatre courses, schools and community centres, and seven years experience in teaching singing and violin privately and in music schools both in Italy and in the UK.
My Story
I was born and raised in Italy. I started learning the violin when I was nine years old. I remember I was fourteen when I went to see an opera at the Teatro Comunale di Bologna. From that moment, I joined a choir and never stopped. I have a degree in Literature, music and performance and one in singing. At age 23, I started performing as a singer with folk bands, chamber choirs and early music ensembles and working as a stage musician with theatre companies touring Italy and Europe. Given my interest in many genres of music and the expressive potential of the voice, I developed a mixed and versatile voice method which I have been passing onto students of all ages and levels. I have also experience as a songwriter and music producer, having assisted recordings of bands in Italy and writing and producing my own music with music softwares for Mac, some of which has been used for the screen. In recent years, I have become more and more interested in facilitating music with vulnerable adults and children with various forms of disabilities. In 2020, I enrolled on a MA in Music Therapy at the University of the West of England in Bristol and graduated with distinction. I work both as a freelance music therapist and with Coram, an organisation based in London and specialised in working with children and young people and in adoption. I am particulalry passionate about working with children and using multiple tools in sessions including music, art and imaginative play. My specific interests are in developmental trauma and neurodivergent conditions.
